RaaS–Recycling as a Service/Resource as a Service

Switcheko provides Recycling as a Service (RaaS) through decentralized waste recovery, mobile recycling, and circular economy solutions.

Today, most waste management systems focus only on collection. However, collecting waste from one place and dumping it in another place is not a sustainable solution. Instead, it simply shifts the environmental burden from one location to another.

At Switcheko, we believe waste should be treated as a resource, not as garbage. Therefore, our concept of Recycling as a Service (RaaS) focuses on decentralized recycling, recovery, and circular economy solutions.

Traditionally, cities invest heavily in transportation and landfill systems. Consequently, large dumping yards continue to grow while pollution levels increase. Moreover, transporting mixed waste over long distances increases fuel consumption, carbon emissions, and operational costs.

Instead of depending only on centralized dumping systems, Switcheko promotes localized and mobile waste processing solutions. For example, Sustainability on Wheels enables activities such as shredding, baling, composting, textile recovery, plastic recycling, and resource recovery directly at the source.

Furthermore, decentralized waste management helps reduce landfill dependency. At the same time, it creates awareness, improves segregation, and increases recycling efficiency within communities.

Additionally, our approach supports the principles of the circular economy. Rather than discarding materials after use, resources are recovered and reintroduced into the value chain. As a result, waste becomes an economic opportunity instead of an environmental challenge.

Similarly, governments and urban local bodies are now recognizing the importance of sustainable waste management systems aligned with initiatives like Swachh Bharat Mission and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Ultimately, sustainability is not about moving waste efficiently. Rather, it is about reducing waste generation, maximizing recovery, and minimizing environmental impact.

“What’s the fun in collecting waste from one location and throwing it in another location?”

The future lies in resource recovery, circular economy practices, and sustainable innovation.
